The best foods to eat to lose weight without being miserable

Here’s my list as an online macros coach ⬇️
- THE
- FOODS
- THAT
- HELP
- YOU
- STAY
- IN A CALORIE DEFICIT

Sorry… was that too sassy?

Fat loss comes from being in a calorie deficit 🫡

Food quality matters - YES - but calories drive weight loss results
^^plus, food quality (and micronutrients) supports hormonal health and cellular function… which ultimately helps our body’s recovery and appetite management (cuz dieting is stressful!!). This matters when we want to stick to our diet = all roads lead to “YOU MUST BE IN A CALORIE DEFICIT”

So the best foods for fat loss? The ones that help YOU stick to YOUR calorie deficit!!!
….
and they may be really different from the ones I prefer (eating what you love is a weight loss strategy that works!!!)

So here are just a couple that are my favorite fat loss foods (although they’re my go-to maintenance foods too!!):
🥬 chicken breast
🥬 kale
🥬 sourdough
🥬 brown rice
🥬 eggs
🥬 turkey sausage
🥬 Greek yogurt
🥬 chocolate chips
🥬 almond butter
🥬 apples
🥬 lean ground beef
🥬 bell peppers
🥬 air-popped popcorn

🥬 chia seeds
🥬 Alyssa’s oatmeal cookies
🥬 Built Bars (my discount code is EATMOREWITHJULIA)
🥬 Healthy On the Go bars (I use the code MADELINEMOVES)
🥬 homemade Heavenly Hunk (here is my recipe)

Here’s how you find those foods for you:
➡️ what meals and food combinations keep you full for hours?
➡️ what foods make you feel really satisfied and help keep your cravings at bay?

But how to figure those out?
📝 Keep a food journal for a week
📝 In addition to writing down what is in your meals, take note of your hunger levels throughout the day, as well as before and after mealtimes (don’t forget to consider your hunger the day after too, i.e. if you under-eat by a lot one day… how does that feel the next day?)

… these reflections will also help you learn how to eat mindfully so you don’t need to be tracking macros or using a food journal forever
